Ventsim was originally introduced to mining operations in 1993 to help visually design, improve and optimise underground mine ventilation systems. The new Ventsim Visual ventilation software was released in 2009 and offers a graphically rich and dynamic 3-dimensional simulation environment.

sensitivity analysis and error checking- can check and predict areas of models where users are more likely to create problems from input errors.
